More upgrades

Had a warm winter day so did some cleaning and organizing today. Got all my old batteries that are no longer good together that are no older than 5 years old. Dam that is a lot of money gone! Oh well, love to make people smile. :) Need to get some new ones soon for the summer and Britishfest convention.

 Finally hung up my new wire organizer. Glued a few craps of plywood together and nailed them to the studs. Also put a space filler on one side.

 Once the organizer was hung and leveled I added some custom built in wire holder above the new one. I drilled directly into the studs to fit 3/4 inch dowel rods.

 With the bought and custom made wire holders in place I no longer have to go hunting for the correct wire. Once I get around to wiring up BB's head I have a nice station to do it at. :)

Hording wire

Getting my wire collection organized as there is wire everywhere in the garage and house. Getting it all in one organized location will help speed up all the electronics work I got planned for this year. Got this wire holding rack for the new wire I got and custom making another for all my other loose spools of wire to go with it. More updates later when the weather warms up.

Cleaning up the toolbox

The toolbox is a mess again, part of the problem is there are to many tools in it to stay organized and the mats in the drawers have disintegrated over the years so the tools roll everywhere.

The anti-slip mats they sell at the home improvement centers cost a lot of money so to save a few bucks and have a lighter color liner I used the kitchen drawer type instead. I cut the mats to size and cleaned every drawer and tool thoroughly. Then reorganized the tools properly and any tools that I had more than two of went in the basement workshop instead. Now everything is easy to get to and see. Now I just got to keep it clean. :)

Organizing

Cleaning up some shelving next. Took everything out and added a cleat to the back of the shelf so nothing can fall between the joists. then added some plastic bins and organised some of my bolts nuts and screws.

The bins fit so well I ended up filling the whole shelf with them.

Starting on the other shelves now.

STOP! Hammer time!

Got tired of my hammers taking up so much room in the tool box and getting in the way so I made this hammer holder out of scraps with just a jig saw. Now I can get at them easily and they are out of the way.

Drill holder

Finally got around to making a drill holder station out of left over plywood scraps so I have a place to put the drills so they do not fall over all the time. It also has a charging station up top with drill bit storage in the center. No these are not all my drills, the other builders keep leaving their tools here. lol Tomorrow I will find a spot to hang it in the workshop. RECYCLE!!!
