Blast from the past

Went digging in the barn at my parents place and after heaving a lot of other stuff out of the way I found my old Omni Bots I had as a kid. They have been sitting back here for about 20 years I would think.

I brought them home and will began the process of cleaning them up this spring for a special project that we have coming up that is near and dear to my heart. :)

Lots and lots of cleaning....

Happy Fur Year!

A few of the furs and I went for a night on the town, playing around, throwing snow balls, going out to eat,etc. I took pictures and acted as a handler for those suited up. Here are just a few pictures. :)

Bob's Baby steps

Finally got Bob to the point that I can test drive him and work some of the bugs out before skinning him.
Wait till K-9 sees him!!!

B-9 is all lite up!!!!

B-9 is almost complete, his head and head motors are all wired in. His head is also painted as well as his neck. Once the dome is properly installed I will go back to working on Bob. It is neat how the lights in his head reflect off the walls.

A few of the new people asked what the other robots are next to B-9. Well here are a few of them.... :)

B-9 Lives again!

Got most of the lights in B-9's chest installed as well as the new sound system. I also got the thing on top of his head to spin with a very small pancake motor. With his new sound system he can play more than just phrases, he can have the blues and sing Elvis too! Next thing to get done is all the lights in his dome area and support the dome properly instead of just having it lay on the top of the head loose.
