TARDIS work

Jen and Tim cut out some circles with the router.Rod and Dave cut out some more circles elsewhere.Then everyone helped move the console to the basement where I can further work on it in the air conditioning. Took a fun photo of everyone and took them out for ice cream to celebrate. :)

A moment of silence.

Wired!

Started on what will soon be a huge pile of wire harnesses for all the projects going on. From low voltage, to high voltage, to a mixture of the two. Slow tedious work, but it all has to be done.

Time rotor time

Jen and me worked on the time rotor today getting the main structure cylinder together. It is so big you can barely get your hands around it! Now to start on the detail pieces and wiring.

Mando armor

My friend Chris has been working on his Mando plates and now is ready to bend them. So he brought them over and I bent them to to fit his body. Slowly heating the plastic we formed each piece.
After every bend we checked it to his body proportions,
After about 22 bends and contours we got what he wanted.
The top part of the armor is done. Now to attach it to the jump suit.

Looking back...

Doing another upgrade on R3 tomorrow that a few of you should like, while I was figuring out how I was going to go about it I was going through some old pic folders and cleaning them out I came across this old pic of Patches when I first started to paint him. To think how many robots I have built and helped build since then is staggering! More than I can count on my fingers and toes combined! My projects may get bigger and bigger every year but Patches has a special place in my heart. He was my first, but definitely not my last build. Look for my little brown and white droid at events later this year!

Count them, 60 Dalek bumps! That is a lot of molded plastic! Still a ton of work to do to them....

Console progress!

A few friends came over to help with some of the wood work on the console. Matt did all the cutting with the skill saw. Thanks man!
Everyone was helping do something. Once we got one panel fitted, the rest were easy.
In no time all the panels were in and being fitted.
Later the women took over router duties. Jen, Tat, and Jeanette trimmed some circles to the proper size.
