Steve brought all the rough trimmed aluminum Saturday for the motor mounts.
It is a light but dense aluminum that will hold its shape well.

Steve cut out the motor and wheel part of our template and laid out the lines on some of the aluminum.

Steve and I changed out the blade on Dash's band saw and then showed the rest of us the best way to cut out the aluminum so we will have the most scrap pieces left to make inner brackets if need be.

We cut out all 12 motor mounts in no time at all. It looks like our final cost on materials for making these motor mounts will be around $20 a set. Not bad!
