Tonight I cut a wider bracket to hold the actual periscope to the slide.

Denny came over to help and take some pics as I do not have a camera right now.

We got the drawer slide bolted back together and noticed even with the extra weight that if you lift up on the slide just right the bearings will stay still and the periscope bracket will fall out once it reaches the top.
With as many events that I take Patches to and use his gadgets I think I am going to scrap this design even though it has been tested by other builders with no problems and go with some type of lead screw design.
